Meet the guide at the bottom station of Schmittenhöhe cable car. After brief instructions by the guide, you will set off on your own, to go looking for the Schmitten-GPS points. If you can find them all, a surprise present awaits you at  the info office.

The valley of the Großglockner group is one of the most cliffy valleys in the Eastern Alps. You can fnd here many mountains higher than 3000 m, which leaves a quite impressive mark. You can walk with snow shoes direction Fusch through one of the most beautiful valleys.

Every Wednesday evening at 8.00 p.m. the Freaks on Snow create an impressive show. At the valley station there is a gigantic jump. Snowboarder and freeskier make a breathtaking event with style and moves in the air. In addition to the wicked boys there is aan awesome fire show. DJ sound, snacks and drinks and the snow groomer shuttle for the audience to see the big jump from up complete the show.

A traditional event at the inner bailey Kaprun castle. The "Perchten" help to awake the nature with their rattling from the bells and  birchs. They want to cast out the bad and help the light to come out. So, if the Perchten "stroke" you with the birchs - it is a good sign. They want to cast out the bad, also from the body. At Kaprun castle the "Perchten" try to cast out the evil spirits. Also the caroller (Sternsinger) take part.

Every Monday - for eight weeks - the Kapruner Show-on-Snow-Artists show their talent: Till end of February the Ski- and Snowboardshow takes place on the Lechnerberg at 8.00 p.m. You can watch a lot of jumps and stunts. An experience in the evening with music form a DJ and a firework.

The steepest giant slalom of the Alps: 100 gates, 1.000 metres difference in altitude and 4.150 metres length - that are the hard facts of the traditional Trasslauf at Schmittenhöhe. Already in 1951 many peaple watched the popular giant slalom and it is now one of the most interesting ski race in the "Salzburger Land". In 1995  Hermann Maier took part and won the race.

The night of the balloons belongs to one of the top events of Zell am See. At night, the huge balloons will replace Zell am see into a spectacular venue of many different lights. Be there and convince yourself about this spectecular night and enjoy the music, drinks, firework, shows of the ski- and snowboardteachers and much more.

The village Kaprun is situated in the middle of the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern and offers a wonderful mountain landscape and an ideal holding slope for the Winter-Triathlon. A real competition with the disciplines: running, touring ski and cross country skiing. Te event takes place at the area of the cross country skiing centre Kaprun and at the "Schaufelberg".

It is one of the most famous races in the region and of course one of the most extraordinary: There are lots of Hobby athletes and experts, they run uphill with touring skies. The Moonlight-trophy is an uphill race, but there is also a light alternative for Hobby athletes and beginners.

What Moscow can do, Zell am See has been able to do for a long time - a real ski race in the city centre of Zell am See in front of a breathtaking scenery. The countdown is running for an top-class event: On the 8th of February slalom runners race through the city and the slalom poles were bend. The racers should be explosive and fast to win the spectacular race in t he pedestrian area. You can expect a good atmosphere and a lot of suspense. Real slalom poles, real snow and many VIPs - a hot event.

200 participants from all nations make  the NostalSki to the biggest nostalgia ski race of the Alps. NostalSki is a necessity for friens of nostalgia and fun for participants and viewers. Famous teams start at the sixth international NostalSki-Super-Gee. Alos the music is a very important part of the event.

From 7th to 11th of March the international Free Ski elite is at Kitzsteinhorn. They show on rails, jumps and many obstacles their talent. Many famous, international Top-Rider take part in the Austrian Freeski Open at Kitzsteinhorn. Even though the contest has an international importance, the Austrian Freeski Open stay as a familiar meeting of the scene. In addition to the main event at the park there are attractive side events.

It is one of the biggest winter-ski festivals in Europe and we are looking forward to many guests from different countries. In addition to skiing, snowboarding, and winter sport experiences, there is also an extensive general programme with a great evening event.
